what has inspired me

I remember hearing them for the first time at a metal festival with Slipknot as the headliner but funnily enough hearing Gojira play their signature song Stranded was the biggest highlight because of how it shook the ground with how loud and heavy their music was. Now I have seen Gojira live 4 times and I hope to see them more. Their themes of existentialism and the corruption of mankind are quite intriguing.

This is a music nerd staple album. Despite coming out in the 90s it predicted a lot of problems we have in the modern day. The themes of technology's impact on humanity and the loss of human connection are particularly relevant today. Furthermore songs like Let Down, No Surprises, and Karma Police are great songs to listen to when you are down.

I just really enjoy this song a lot. Never gets old.

I saw this movie in theaters the week it came out. Joaquin Phoenix's acting is amazing. He perfectly captures Arthur Fleck who seems normal at first glance but is quite unstable in a realistic way. The talk show scene particularly highlights his expertise.

Seinfeld is a masterfully written comedy that exemplifies the triviality of the wider scope of people around us and how they see the world. I particularly like George and Kramer.

This book is probably my biggest inspiration period. The story of the mercenary protagonist Guts is deeply harrowing, oddly philosophical, and inspiring. Particularly due to the personality of Guts himself. He is a straight-faced, determined and undeniably brave individual. He survived the depths of literal hell, escaping with only losing his arm and his eye ripped from him by the demons that dwell. He is cursed to eternally fight demons that hunt him while managing his mentally broken girlfriend with only one functional arm and eye. His goal is to get revenge on his former mercenary band leader who betrayed him and the entire band, sacrificing them in hell for his eternal life and personal gain. Now Guts fights demons and roams the land finding all the disciples of his former leader to exact his revenge for the sacrifice of his conrades. His determination, and willpower are exceptional and what inspires me the most. His nickname by many characters is the "Struggler".

This 20 year old walking simulator made in RPG Maker is a staple anomaly of a game. There is no real gameplay besides well, walking. You play Madotsuki, a shut-in. Rather, in Japanese, a Hikikomori. You navigate her surreal dreamworld. There are multiple dreams you can enter than link to other dreamworlds, almost like a maze. They can be colorful with weird, wacky nameless NPCs that just walk around. You might find yourself in a dark void with only streetlamps that feels infinite. If you stumble across a secret area, you might find yourself facing a very disturbing artpiece that is almost undescribable as you are stuck in seemingly an intense nightmare. The only way out of is to press the "wake up" button. This game can only be fully experienced if you play it as it is not possible to accurately describe the odd beauty and the symbolism within these worlds, hinting at a vague but disturbing past for Madotsuki. It is free on steam.
